Background: Zachary Bathon is a former Marine Corps sergeant and Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom veteran. He spent eight years as a combat correspondent and photographer participating in numerous deployments across the globe including two tours in Iraq with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. He was honorably discharged from the Corps in 2005. Zachary has a love for photography and combat photographs and is a budding military history enthusiast.

    Heard a DJ this morning on the way to work (VA — Fort Lauderdale) mention a musician named GG something, and I remembered you telling me about him. Anyway, I hope this finds you well, and congratulations on getting that photo from Qalat Sukkar into the MC Museum. Well deserved!
