The Shape of Wars to Come

The article by Ralph Peters, The Shape of Wars to Come, in Armchair General March 2006, was the best article I have read anywhere on what we face in the future and why. Mr. Peters’ insights were amazing and eye-opening. In my opinion he was right on every point.

The most revealing insight was the idea that we live in an age of insoluble conflicts, followed by the important historical challenge that to understand
today’s world, we must allow that the "Age of Reason" has perished, and an age of hyper lawlessness is upon us.  I think this age of choas can be seen all around us, and I think our failure to respond can be seen as well.  We must be much more tough minded to survive.

Your magazine, in publishing this article, has jumped to a new level of excellence.  Keep up the good work.
