"Let’s head up to the surface, we can get to H.A.T.E. via the barracks area, there’s an elevator which might still be working and it’s got to be better than clambering through all this concrete."

Appearing to accept what you say, Doctor Sinister eases the door with his robotic arm and holds it open as you gingerly poke your head around the corner and look up the shattered remnants of the concrete staircase. There is daylight in the distance high above.

“We’re free!” you exclaim, and with a whoop of joy, you begin to scramble up the remains of the steps – only to see the silhouettes of two figures swing into view at the top – US Army soldiers, guarding the escape, their guns pointing down ominously into the stairwell.

“It’s them! I told you I heard voices! Shoot to kill!”

Automatic gunfire echoes through the chamber as first Doctor Sinister and then you succumb to a gruesome, painful death.
