Tankfest 2006!

So without further ado, we will dive into the vehicle displays, and here we see a group of vehicles from the Chieftain "family" thundering around the track.

Included amongst the collection were a Chieftain Mk3, a Chieftain Mk10, a Chieftain ARV, a Chieftain S.L.D. and a Khalid.

One of the weirdest vehicles was the one on the left here - a prototype "Stealth" tank with a modified hull and turret and fibrous skirts to disguise its heat signature.

Following the Chieftains we were treated to an incredible display by the Royal Marines in a Viking BVS10, an amphibious troops carrier that had phenomenal manoeuvrability and an incredible turn of speed.

As the Royal Marines threw the Viking over and around the track, they even demonstrated the vehicle’s ability to turn within its own length in a tight circle.
