Tankfest 2006!

Readers of my previous pieces for ACG will know that I have a "weakness" for German equipment from the Second World War, so forgive me a small indulgence whilst I drool over these pictures of a Panzer III and a Hetzer.

Further along, we encounter a Jagdpanther sheltering beneath the rain, and a mighty King Tiger - unfortunately neither were running on the day, the King Tiger doesn’t run at all.

The pride of Bovington - Tiger 131, fully restored and operational - no less magnificent in her desert colour scheme beneath the drab grey skies.

Here’s something rarely seen - two Tigers next to each other. And parked in the car park, a rather forlorn Hetzer, stripped to the bone, wrecked but still amazing to inspect at close quarters.

Dozens of Tanks and AFVs were scattered around the site, and many of these will be seen running later in this piece…
