Tankfest 2006!A J Summersgill August 16, 2006 | 2 comments | Print | E-mail Readers of my previous pieces for ACG will know that I have a "weakness" for German equipment from the Second World War, so forgive me a small indulgence whilst I drool over these pictures of a Panzer III and a Hetzer. Further along, we encounter a Jagdpanther sheltering beneath the rain, and a mighty King Tiger – unfortunately neither were running on the day, the King Tiger doesn’t run at all. The pride of Bovington – Tiger 131, fully restored and operational – no less magnificent in her desert colour scheme beneath the drab grey skies. Here’s something rarely seen – two Tigers next to each other. And parked in the car park, a rather forlorn Hetzer, stripped to the bone, wrecked but still amazing to inspect at close quarters.
