Decision Point 3: Commit the reserve to EA Kill in 1 Bde (ME)

Enemy: The enemy main attack is committed in 1 Bde (ME) AO and is in position to penetrate the western flank. The enemy has recognized his success in this area and is reinforcing the attack there.

Friendly: 1 Bde (ME) retains the rest of his sector but is decisively engaged and cannot reposition forces to the west. 3 Bde and 2 Bde are also decisively engaged and cannot reposition; neither is in danger of being penetrated.

Mission: The reserve attacks by fire, reinforcing fires into EA Kill in the 1 Bde (ME) area in order to prevent the envelopment of 1 Bde from the west.

Decision Point 4: Commit the reserve to EA Slash in support of 3 Bde

Enemy: Enemy forces attacking the division to our east have advanced southwest into 3 Bde eastern flank. They are experiencing success in their effort to penetrate defenses in the vicinity of EA Slash.

Friendly: 1 Bde (ME) retains its sector. 3 Bde and 2 Bde are decisively engaged and cannot reposition forces. There is no danger of penetration in any other area.

Mission: The reserve attacks to block penetration south of EA Kill in the 3 Bde area in order to prevent the envelopment of 3 Bde from the east.
