Staten Island, NY, August 23rd, 2007 – Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) is thrilled to announce that they will be attending The Heat of Battle Wargaming Convention at The National World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA! The convention is the museum’s first ever of its kind and is running from August 24-26, so gamers who are in the area should stop by 945 Magazine Street in downtown New Orleans to get a piece of the action.

The three days of the convention are to be jam-packed with World War II buffs playing strategy games of all kinds based (of course) on the Second World War. The convention will also feature a free guest lecture by Captain Rick Jacobs which discusses the strategic and tactical decisions made by the US Navy in the invasion of Guadalcanal to make it the memorable battle that it is.

David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said "The Heat of Battle Wargaming Convention will be a great time for anyone who’d like to get to know some Matrix Games staff to stop by and chat. Matrix is packing its bags and heading down to New Orleans not just to demo our new products and promote our strong World War II game lineup, but also to get in some good old fashioned gaming while we’re at it. Anyone who has a few opens hours in the New Orleans area should definitely swing by the National World War II Museum and kick my butt in a quick game of Memoir ‘44 at the least!"

Get more information on The Heat of Battle Wargaming convention from the National WWII Museum’s website <http://www.nationalww2museum.org/calendar/dayView/1187931600>  and make sure you stop by the Matrix Games’ booth. See you there!
