FORGOTTEN HISTORY: Siege of Constantinople. See if you can defeat Constantinople’s seemingly impregnable walls in Medieval II: Total War computer game (The Creative Assembly). This topic was also covered in Constantinople, (Strategy & Tactics #66) and Fall of Constantinople (Panzerschreck #6); unfortunately, both of these magazines and the boardgames included in them are Out of Print (OOP).

TIPPING POINTS The People Armed: Partisan Warfare. Partisan warfare is included in the Blitzkrieg: Rolling Thunder computer game (CDV Software) and Medal of Honor: European Assault video game (Electronic Arts). "Partisan," an Advanced Squad Leader (ASL) module (The Avalon Hill Game Company) is OOP, regrettably.

HARD CHOICES Eisenhower and Kasserine Pass The North African disaster that nearly cost Ike his job. Can your inexperienced American troops hold back the dreaded Afrika Korps at Kasserine Pass? Find out with Call of Duty 2: Big Red One video game (Activision) or the boardgame Kasserine (GMT Games). Two out-of-print boardgames, North Africa Quad, "Kasserine" scenario (SPI) and Bloody Kasserine (GDW), also explored this topic.

COMBAT! U.S. Tanker, North Africa Choose the correct course of action during World War II tank combat in the desert. Outfox the Desert Fox or put yourself inside his tank with Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory (JoWood Productions Software), Field Commander Rommel, a solitaire boardgame (Dan Verssen Games), or create your own scenarios with Axis & Allies Miniatures: North Africa 1940-1943. DAK2 (The Gamers and Multiman Publishing), Campaign for North Africa, an OOP "monster game" (SPI), and North Africa Quad (SPI, but OOP) cover the North Africa campaign in boardgame format.

YOU COMMAND Australians at Buna, 1942 Test your decision-making skills as an Australian infantry leader battling Japanese defenders in the jungles of New Guinea. Lead your forces in the steaming New Guinea jungles with John Tiller’s Campaign Series, "Battering at Buna" and "Take Buna" scenarios (Matrix Games). Wargamer magazine #9 magazine (OOP) included the game Bloody Buna (3W).
