Sneak Peak at the September 2007 Issue
This issue will feature a story on General Slim and his Burma Campaign during World War 2. Bevin Alexander pops in for a piece on Rommel. There are a couple selections covering the difficult tasks of training a client army and counter-insurgency. We will be going Scud Busting in Iraq, surfing at Inchon, and sneaking around in Damascus. Armchair General goes to Origins Game Convention
For anyone looking for some quality gaming in early July, check out Origins in Columbus, OH July 5-8. Armchair General will be sending a team to Origins as part of our support for the Origins War College seminar series. Our very own Carlo D'Este will be giving a talk, as will David Glantz, Charles Sharp, Les Grau, Frank Chadwick, Dana Lombardy, and many others. When the War College is out of session, the ACG team will be at the tables playing wargames, boardgames, Euro-games, and just about any other game they can fit in the door. Learn more about the War College here (Origins Website). Discuss with us here.

Armchair Military History
Here are the latest articles in our military history department. Carlo D' Este examines the two days of Memorial Day and D-Day in modern times with Two Days to Remember. We have an article by Wild Bill Wilder titled Deja Vu The Desert Rats exploring the famous division fighting in 1991. We have a movie overview (Films of the Cold War), book reviews (Words of War, FDR's Twelve Apostles) and of course our regular features such as Jim Moreno's WebOps (an overview of all things Military History on the web) and The Incorrect Art of War (Dr. Sinister's attempts to understand military history's lessons).

Origins 2006 Revisited
In a past issue we revisited GenCon 2006, so this may seem a bit redundant. However, with Origins coming up in a week or so, we feel this is a good teaser to get everyone in the mood to hop a plane or drive cross country to check out this excellent show. ACG was there in 2006, and we'll see you there in 2007!
