Editor's Welcome
Welcome to the second issue of "General Intel" - Armchair General® magazine’s online newsletter! Many newsletters don't make it past their first edition, but since we have so much going on at ACG, we're bursting to tell you all about it. If you are receiving this, it's because you are a fan of Military History and gaming, so without further ado, here are the latest highlights from www.armchairgeneral.com.

What's New on Armchair General
Behind an Armchair General Photoshoot
Armchair General - behind the scenes! Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at an Armchair General Shoot? We feature some exclusive online-only photos and video segments!
-
First Look at the May 2007 Issue
This issue looks back at the Civil War and studies what made General Robert E. Lee such a great leader, on and off the battlefield. We also take you to Stalingrad for a "Walk Where They Fought" tour, as well as dispel many of the Red Army myths which have persisted all these years in our exclusive article "How the Red Army Really Won." Other features include a piece on Gen. Westmoreland, "Tommies" in North Africa, Okinawa 1945, and a special list of books read by members of the US military.

Armchair General War College Series
Ever wonder if there is a place you can go where military history and wargaming come together in one weekend-long non-stop barrage of intense adventure? Look no further than the Origins and Historicon game conventions for starters. Not only will there be more war and strategy tabletop gaming than you can stand, Armchair General will be sponsoring War Colleges at both events with notables such as Carlo D'Este (an Armchair General regular), David Glantz (noted Eastern Front specialist) and dozens of others. When you need a break from the game table, come check out these interesting seminars.
Armchair General Game News
Check out our latest game news and reviews - we've got an early Recon' of the latest title from Battlefront, Theatre of War, as well as a full review of another RTS at the other end of the realism spectrum, the futuristic Supreme Commander. If RPG games are your thing, we also review Dungeon Siege 2: Deluxe Edition. We round out the list with interviews and previews for Forge of Freedom and Making History: The Calm and the Storm and the boardgame Bomb Alley.

The Incorrect Art of War
Our very own Supervillain, Doctor Sinister, settles nicely into his new home in our ongoing monthly series - The Incorrect Art of War. Take a few moments to put your feet up and follow the inept evil genius in his latest adventure, "Spies Don't Like Us." This series explains all the ways NOT to pursue military history and realism!
Rear Guard
GenCon 2006 Revisited
This section is devoted to classic material from our site, which newcomers may have missed. This month, we feature a look back at GenCon 2006 (Indianapolis, IN). This should give you a taste of what you can find at a game convention including, as you see on the left, a lot of interesting people. It's worth a visit to any game convention in your area.
