These German armoured cars and Half-tracks were all part of a display mounted by the SdKfz Military Vehicle Foundation – and we shall see some of them in battle later in this article…

Here’s a Hetzer – I’ve seen a couple of these before at Bovington and Duxford, a remarkably compact Tank Destroyer superbly suited for ambushes I would imagine. To the right, a German Half-track opens its rear doors.

Here’s the rear of that Hetzer and a British armoured car from more modern times. To be honest with you though, I’d favour the Hetzer any day.

And look what I found – it’s a Humvee! I’ve always wanted one of these, I wonder if it comes with cruise control?
