Letter from Iraq

LT Vin Caliguire | May 30, 2006  | 0 comments  | Print  | E-mail

Hi from Camp Corregidor Ramadi, where "free gun" rules… Our year long tour with 2/28 IN Combat Brigade is almost over and we can’t get enough of Armchair General. It keeps us going and maintains our strategic wits. Pictured (L to R) are myself (LT Caliguire an 11B on a Tank), my gunner, David Klinger and the "tank guru" Daniel Stamm. Taking the picture is Joe Bennet, a sniper who wanted some tank time so I’m making him my driver till we finish. See you back home soon!

PS I forgot about our tango, Babydoll, she loves the camera (Named after my girl, it pays to be the officer sometimes).

Thanks for sharing the picture and for being over there in the first place!  Great photo.  Have any more from Iraq you can share with our readers?  We’d love to see more of what it’s like for you guys…

In any event, stay safe, come back home soon, and thanks again for letting Armchair General play a small part in helping you all relax.

Very best,

Brian King
