Last Combat Veteran of World War I Dies

Claude Stanley Choules, the last known combat veteran of the Great War, died in Perth, Western Australia. He was also a veteran of World War II.

Florence Green, who served as a waitress in the Women’s Royal Air Force, is now the last known Briton to have served in World War I.
