This foe is beyond your current abilities and you rise up from your trench and sprint on weary legs towards a safer position to the rear.

The concussion of the cannon blast rattles your whole body and the trench you recently occupied is rent by the explosive round. You are forced onto your stomach and find it difficult to rise. The din of battle around you now sounds like nothing more than a high-pitched whine reverberating through a hollow tube, and you grit your teeth against the disorienting sensation. The tank continues to advance, your defenses compromised and begins to roll over the remnants of your trench.

The moment you regain your feet, the tank opens up on you with machine gun fire. The hot rounds pass cleanly through your body and you fall, spinning onto your right side. As you bleed out in the snowy woods, you hope that Private Bernson makes it to safety and that brings you some measure of comfort.
