Bullet Color Codes

Does anyone have pictures of different rounds with the color tip and what each color means? And does anyone know how many tracers have been made? I know they made red, green, and I've heard of white tracers too, but have any other colors been made?

I think one needs a little more info, for example calibre and nationality.

Red -regular Tracer

Black - AP

Green (with a red circle) is dim tracer, for use at night with NVGs, although i have fired this in the day and couldn't tell much difference.

I might be wrong, this is based on my memory. Pretty sure I got it right though.

Oh and this is 7.62/and Caliber .50

This dates from the 80's, So there may have been changes since then:

ammo codes

this is a whole sub specialty in ammo expertise. all the different countries, factories, and types of ammo is mind boggling. there are even some types of ammo which have been made to be "sterile", meaning no marks which would indicate where they came from, or who was using them.
