A few technical mistakes and some dubious decisions during the final rescue scene but overall not bad. I liked that he was covered in dust abrasions in the shower scene after he was rescued. Good attention to detail.
Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.
The last film I watched was Rock the Kasbah, this can be seen on netflix. This is one of Bill Murrays best performances IMO.
What really is amazing about this movie for me is that I always thought it would be cool to bring great rock music to the caves and mountains of Afghanistan. Well the movie Rock the Kasbah does just that, but its not just a made up story its partially based on the life of a female Afgan singer who was a contestant on the Afgan tv show "Afgan Star".

Changed my life.
Really.Completely.I cannot believe that this film had a so huge impact on me.
I burst in tears for a dozen of minutes ,without being able to take upon myself.
The scene when Cooper leaves his daughter Murph ...Man.I lived the same kind of things when i left my daughter to her nanny ,cause i was leaving her mother for ever.I kissed her and had to wait for 3 months before seeing her back..
This scene broke my heart to a point i cannot tell you .And made me listen to the soundtrack in a continuous loop. It's called addiction.
And the questions about eternal love....
And Mc Conaughey...Tell what you want ,but he has a real screen presence.
The acting wasn't the greatest at times but it had lots of great action scenes and the movie showed the futility of fighting and keeping control in Afghanistan.
There's nothing Politically correct about the way they show how Afghan society operates which is refreshing for a Canadian film.
Superman vs Batman -- a decent flick but with lots of disjointed scenes that at first didn't make any sense, but as I thought more on this, I figured this is simply the setup to create new character stories out of DC universe.
Divergent Series: the Alliegiants -- not bad if you like Divergent series. This is first part of two parts, so the story feels incomplete and a little rushed to get the product out. There are some parts just don't make sense story-wise.
Overall, I'd give both movies two stars out of four stars.

It was okay, just another action flick with little substance. And if offered nothing new from the original. Most of the characters sucked (Liam Helmsworth's character being an exception). The old characters were worse than they were.
However, it does open the possibility for an expanded setting, which is a strong positive in my opinion; as long as new material is better than this.
