Napoleonic EraDiscuss the many wars fought around the globe around the time of Napoleon. This forum is dedicated to the memory of Ben Weider.
I'm a huge fanatic about the great General Antoine Charles Louis Lasalle and I'd love to start a thread about him.
I basically know so much about him but I was wondering if any of you know some rare information, have rare quotes, or pictures from books. I've always wondered if any of you have the book "Soldiers and Uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars" by F Hourtouille because I hear there are tons of color plates of Lasalle and if any of you could scan them that would be great!
I'll eventually share bits and pieces of info as the thread goes on but I'll start it off with this:
A young Lasalle after Rivoli before Napoleon with captured flags.
General Lasalle Lasalle at Golymin
Portrait of Lasalle, can anyone identify the awards and trinkets on his pelisse?
What?! Another Lasalle backer? What's the world coming to? Nah,just kidding, to me this is the greatest era of Cavalry in history. Make sure you vote in the cavalry leaders poll in this forum. Oh,and welcome to the greatest forum on the 'net.

Sorry, I'm not aware of any biography of Lasalle in English.
At least, I have more pictures to show.
