Premier League 2008-2009
The Premier League opens today with Arsenal playing West Brom. Who are your favourites for this season? Man U again? gunners? blues? Personally I'll be cheering for Liverpool as always, even though they haven't won since 1990
Come On Reds!

I hope Arsenal can win the Premiership, this year, they have the talent the problem over the past few years has been the small size of the squad of first rate players, the manager had to call upon, therefore by February (for the past two seasons) due to injuries, Arsenal's form fall away but this year could be differnent. Up the Gunners.

I don't really have a favorite team but......
The Premier League is the only soccer (football) that I can really get into!

Go the Gunners, though always keep an eye out for the various Australians at the top level. Was a bit devo that Tim Cahill didn't line up.

Well, at the end of day 1 Chelsea makes the strongest impression with a smashing 4-0 victory over Portsmouth

Man U had a bad start of the season, but they're still Ronaldoless. LOL!
I'll be cheering for them all the way through and I'll be hoping for WBA to hold on to next season.
Can't stand the reds, gunners or the blues, sorry to all.

That draw by manchester united was great, the bookies dropped the odds on them for the season ive laid two ton on them, beat the credit crunch boys,
chelsea is the main threat, arsenal are a year or two away.
Liverpool, im afraid that unless a minor miracle occurs its best to focus on cups.
get your money on man city boss for first sacking too, its a done deal.
Behind the seens and in front of them they are bang in trouble.
Leicester is worth a punt for there league too.

What about the Spurs? Seems like they're into 6th or 7th tops.
They can never get it right.

whoever gets them back as key players and sorts all there woes out will have a statue made of them and put on my mantlepeice for me to worship, as it would be nothing short of a god like act.
why they dont do better is a mystery to me, they have had no shortage of rich backers in the past and a wealth of home grown talent, i think scooby and the gang would struggle with that mystery.

I too have no idea, why theu can't do any better.
Every single year there's a huge "crescendo" around the team and then... flop.
Same things happens with Newcastle. I do have to admit they started the season doing great, but I think the'll be struggling before X-mas comes.

Arsenal loosing is always a good thing.
However all other "big 3" struggle to win their games.

I took a bus to oxford yesterday and someone had left a copy of metro (a free paper they give out on trains, for any none brits unfamiliar)
I wasnt going to read it as i had a paper, but out the corner of my eye i glimpsed a sub headline which in the bold type header said and i will quote.
Roman:im going to tottenham
I immediatly dived to the floor to pick it up assuming they meant roman abramovich, it turned out to be just some russian striker whos name ive forgotten i was heartbroken, i ride a lot of money and get a good income off of manchester uniteds fortunes, i must have been a sight a six feet six, eighteen stone bloke scrambling under a bus seat chasing a newspaper, i think even with romans 11 billion pound deep pockets would struggle to figure out tottenhams largly trophyless existance.

LOL! We've Metro in Portugal aswell.
Pavlyuchenko is a good purchase for the Spurs. Specialy if they manage to hold Berbatov. That will make an interesting duo.

The abu dhabi (spelling?) cartel thats just become owners of Manchester City could shake things right up, they own ten percent of the worlds known oil and have a combined wealth on paper of one TRILLION thats right you read correctly and i spelled correctly dollars.
They have stated that money is no object in there desire to make it the best club in the world, its a pet project for them and could spark there Dubai rivals to buy a club also.
Could we see the big four names of english football change in a couple of years?
Does Roman feel poor again?
How do i persuade Dubai to purchase Leicester City (my team) and fast?
