Tom,

Correct. I'm battlefield stomping with Dave this weekend and he mentioned that yesterday.

Tom, in spite of six inches of wet, heavy snow, yes, we did. Scott Patchan led us on the winter version of the Bataan Death March at Third Winchester on Saturday in the snow, and none of us have ever been as cold and wet as we were that day, but it was worth it.

Friday, we toured the pristine Cool Spring battlefield, and then on Sunday, a quick visit to Fisher's Hill and Tom's Brook, and a detailed tour of Piedmont, which none of us had ever seen. Talk about a pristine battlefield.....

So, yes, it was great fun in spite of the weather. Thanks for asking.

I had Goretex boots, so I was the only one with dry feet. Dave's boots had holes and his feet got cold and wet immediately. Everyone but me was bitching about it.

Always thinking ahead - seems like you are more engineer than attorney, Eric.

I wish I could claim credit, Tom, but I can't. Credit for that one has to go to my wife, Susan, who was quite insistent that I wear those boots. She definitely has an engineer's brain.

Kudos to Mrs. W., the George Meade of the Wittenberg household. (only I'm sure she is much better looking).

I have a good sense for how an engineer thinks because my Dad is a retired mechanical engineer.
