I always thought the naval uniforms worn by Napoleonic Royal Naval officers looked very smart.
As were the Royal horse artillery.

I agree with mike. And even though the sailors were not all about niceties they could still clean up good.

I like pretty much all of the light cavalry uniforms -- dashing and colorful and completely impractical.
Here's a light cavalry uniform that works* -- Cossacks!
*If you can call it a uniform.

Say what one will about the Napoleonic Wars, they still have some of the most beautiful uniforms in history! Such pageantry, such form, such colors!

For the best uniform guide for the era you'd need a two volume set...
