Hey, Brother...
I know you were just doing what "was right" - just kind of instinct... but that's what takes normal men and turns them into heros... being able to function under high-stress and un-Godly pressure!!!
Ronnie, God bless you, brother! Thanks for everything you've done - and all that you stand for! You're a role-model for all of us!

Costa Mesa;]– Anti-communist activist, Ronnie Guyer, who is also a long time Field
For those who can't see it.
Van Tran Field Representative Saves Choking Customer
Costa Mesa- Anti-communist activist, Ronnie Guyer, who is also a long time Field Representative for Assemblyman Van Tran (R-Costa Mesa), was congratulated this past Wednesday for saving a stranger’s life at the local Costa Mesa Wingnuts Restaurant.
The Tran staff was celebrating the last day for their summer interns and thanking the local students for their hard work. While at lunch, Ronnie noticed a woman choking while her husband frantically tried to help her. After watching for a few seconds Ronnie jumped off his chair and saved the day by giving her the Heimlich maneuver.
The managers of the restaurant called 911 and the paramedics showed, but only after all was said and done. Captain Mike Hastert of the Costa Mesa Fire Department interviewed the woman, who proudly stated that Ronnie had saved her life and that she could not have waited for the paramedics.
“The heroism that Ronnie showed today is an example that should be followed by all Americans” said Captain Hastert.
Ronnie Guyer, 65, is no stranger to heroism as a Veteran of the Vietnam War. In 1965, as a 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) Army Specialist, Ronnie carried American soldiers that had been killed or wounded in action from helicopters in the first major battle with Communist North Vietnamese Army. The battle was accurately depicted in the 2002 motion picture "We Were Soldiers" starring Mel Gibson as Ronnie's Commanding Officer Lt. Colonel Hal G. Moore.
This was not Ronnie’s first opportunity to save a life. In 1982 he used CPR to save the life of a severely injured 2 year old boy who was hit by a truck.
“I am just glad that I was at the right place, at the right time. She has God to thank for today, not me” said Ronnie, proving that the heroism of the American soldier goes far and beyond the battlefield.
Legislative staffers, on both sides of the aisle, are some of the most dedicated, caring members of the community that you will ever meet. Unfortunately, the public’s perception of that passion forcommunity service often gets lost amongst the partisan wrangling. Ronnie reminds us all that a littlecare for your community goes a long way.

I especially love the part of this article where it says "anti-communist activate..." Is there not a better title in the world!?! I honestly can't think of a better phrase/term to call somebody... If I'm ever profiled for something... I hope that I would be in Ronnie's category!!!
Well, done, brother!
