My apologies if someone has posted this before, but the historian Norman Davies recommended this web site for information
on the Warsaw rising. I checked it out and there is some really good stuff here, including a lot of videos shot by the
Home Army during the rising. The photograph slide shows are incredible.
A fascinating find for anyone interested in this subject.

Understandable but bad grammar and bad form. You should say "Troche rozumie jezyk Polski".
Troche = a little
jezyk = language
j = always pronounced as if it were a "y". In English you eat "yogurt" for breakfast in Polish you eat "jogurt". Pronunciation is almost identical except the Polish "r" is more coarse as if a Scottish person was speaking. The Scots have a similar coarse pronunciation of the r.
Barbarossa, I'm in my final semester of nursing school and am running into a lot of Polish patients at the Loyola University hospital in Chicago where I practice. I get to practice my Polish when I speak to those people and their faces light up when they see a student nurse speaking in their tongue.
Last summer I was a nursing intern at Good Samaritan hospital Chicago suburbs and I was assigned to a Polish-speaking veteran of General Anders' army. That man fought in Africa and at Monte Cassino and is in his 80s but physically and mentally he's in excellent shape and looks better than a lot of 50 year olds I've seen. Oh boy, how long we spoke about Cassino...I could hardly get my clinical work done because all I wanted was to be with him and talk about the war. As you may or may not know Anders is resting at Cassino. That was his final wish even though he died in England.

Back to topic.... in my oppinion the best site about Warsaw Rising 1944 is - http://www.whatfor.prv.pl/
Very informative, but not so well designed. Unfortunetely is in Polish lang. version only.
There is also a good site of the Warsaw Rising Museum http://www.1944.pl/index.php?lang=en&lang_time=1
