Round 1...how are you doing?
Round 1 is almost at its end...
I didn't do too bad I guess...
I lost on the following:
Alfonso Henriquez
Benedict Arnold
Tokugawa Ieyasu
Simon Bolivar (that really hurt !!!!)
I also voted on "Black Jack" Pershing, but I can't tell if he's gonna win or not yet...it's a close call !!!!
Greets,
Stratego

Well, I picked Shaka Zulu and that sort of set the tone for the round.

Not to bad.
I definitely lost on the following.
NB Forrest
Mannerheim
Pershing is still in doubt at this time.

I've lost out on Forrest, Giap, and Ieyasu. As long as Moltke holds on to his thin lead over Pershing, I'll leave round one with a better than a 3:1 win:loss ratio.

Its hard cause your basically guessing on how folks will vote. I've not looked all all of them to be honest so I don't know. I'm really surprise about Giap though.

I got burned on Arnold, as I never would have thought he could be beaten by Miss Of Arc...but I've seen his traitor status overshadows any military contributions he may have had [notes in log book for next time]
My other two failed picks were Giap and Ieyasu.
Long term, the only one of these that will hurt me is Ieyasu. I had him going deep into the bracket.

I picked 9 confirmed losers. And I so looked forward to this!

nevermind found it.......13 winners and 3 losers, assuming i counted my original submission correctly, and Giap hurts as bad for me as Ieyasu for you.

Me too. I guess in the ACG universe, he met his demise by Ninja poison...

I turned in my bracket late, so I can't even win, but I'm still counting my victories (it didn't take long) with 7 Generals in Round One, maybe 8 if Pershing can pull through somehow...
