Call of Duty 2 big red one
anyone played Call of duty 2: Big Red One? I have and I was very impressed. I especially liked how they massed the infantry in assaults and how they introduced some new weapons like weapons from italy and france. kudos to the team!
thanks

I played it(it's kinda short compared to COD:Finest hour) for Xbox, pretty soon though, I'm going to get the Xbox 360(and enjoy COD II and Quake IV plus many other games)!

I rented it for xbox when it was released, it was ok. The Liberator level was the best part. Other than that I wasn't really impressed, especially with the graphics. The console COD games I've played have been way too linear and scripted. I liked Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood a lot better.

I've played it, and the game is.........ehhhhh.
Some problems:
1.Too easy (harder with Finest Hour, though that was a bit too hard). Find cover, slaughter dumbest Germans ever, repeat till boredom.
2.Too short. No real extra missions, or any replay value. Multiplayer is okay though.
3.Graphics and Animation. Muddy muddy muddy. Everything looks nondescript as your generic soldiers fiire generic weapons at other generic soldiers. New weapons are nice, but I can snipe with the .30 cal...without iron sights. And why is aiming my weapon so choppy?
4.Story. Or lack thereof. Wow, the guy with the glasses actually lives (We shall always remember you, Legget ). Other than that, I don't care. There's no character development. Point your gun at the guys with gray uniforms with unexplained gray dirt on their faces. And your character obviously feels no pain. It's worse than Medal of Honor.
Other than that, everything is okay. Just get Brothers in Arms, both games are better than this.

My local EB Games had Big Red ONe running on a PS2 beside CoD2 running on a 360. People took one look at the two of them and got in line for the 360.
'nuff said.

Erm, well obviously. A 4 or 5 year old system vs. a new one? The funny thing is, if they put the 360 CoD2 next to my PC running CoD2, they'd feel pretty indifferent.

Yeah, I know, COD 2 BRO IS to short, I liked it(but not enough to play it again) the Germans in MOH Frontline and Rising sun were MUCH smarter then these guys(but this game's graphics surpass those of BHD game for xbox) those Graphics belong on the playstation!
the most realistic graphics I've seen is in Half-Life 2(and Doom 3)
