Though this is not necessarily meant to depict a specific tank (I think it's just meant to be a generic traffic sign), I do still think it bears a remarkable resemblance to one tank in particular...

You are quite right
This is a MTU MB 873 Ka-501 engine for the Leopard 2, in this case meant for the Strv 122. It is based on a common industrial engine which has been adapted for military use. Variants of the MTU MB 873 Ka-501 can also be found on for example the Merkava IV and K2 Black Panther, built under license or in co-operation with MTU.
Here are two images which show how the fans and exhausts of the engine are articulated in the Leo 2 hull.
