Gentlemens,
I need as much info on these North Korean tanks as possible, variants, history etc. Are there any other tanks with KPVs mounted?
Thank you all in advance.

That I knew. What I need to know is the name and possibly the history of development/modifications of this variant. The original T-54 had the 12.7mm mounted on the right, whereas these had 14.5mm mounted on the left. Did they assume that the tank commander would be operating the KPV?

Hello folks
I'm back after a three week trip of a lifetime safari in Tanzania. Great stuff!
Now I see we need to get back into some tank recognition
So here's the first course for today

I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for, but maybe this is a useful start; about North Korea: http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita.../dprk/army.htm, and about the KPV HMG: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KPV_heavy_machine_gun)

It's the Merkava prototype on a centurion chassis as seen in the Israeli
Armor Museum.
