May I tactfully suggest, that since the Achtung Panzer forum is for German armour, such a thread should be placed in the RKKA forum.

So...I would say KV-1 (1940) F-32 from the Kirov Factory in Leningrad.
EDIT: I will try to post some photos tomorrow of the various types and subtypes - but I am fairly certain about it being the 1940 model.

Yes, you are right, it is a 1940 model. However, it would seem that relatively few (perhaps no more than about 150, together with about 100 KV-2) were actually manufactured in that year.

Thanks panther, and skoblin.... I'm trying to work on an idea for a diorama, and this picture is going to be my main reference.

Cheers, mate. The subject tank would be fine for a 'Barbarossa' diorama, if that's what you are contemplating.
A good number of the tanks manufactured in the early months of 1941 would also have been basically the same as the 1940 model. The extra bolt-on armour was added almost as a panic measure in response to the idea that the Germans had much more potent anti-tank weapons than they really possessed, but it did overload the already strained transmission/final drive, which failed with alarming frequency especially on these earlier models.

Precisely. You wanna give me indigestion, Cicero? I'm on a tank diet and that looks suspiciously like an armoured car, to my eye. Isn't that right, M8? (M8 = mate, geddit??? )

Oh that's close up!
A bit too close for me to be sure, but if I were forced to guess I would say T-54/55. Looks to be in mint condition, too.

So trying to catch up...

and here is the M1941

the only reason I point this out is that the words "model 1940/41 with F-34 gun" give me a good exuse to post pics of T-34's.

I think you're right. Model 1941 looks more likely.
You certainly know your T-34s
