Hello

Howdy Everyone,

Joined yesterday and looking forward to "listening" to what more experienced members have to say. I am a teacher, historian, researcher, and writer about to retire from the teaching world and concentrate on my writing.

Hi all,

I am Rafe, mostly interested in Napoleonic history, with some detours into 60s and 70s wargaming. No time to post much just today, but I'll stick around.

Hello everyone, please be kind to me. I've got some pretty unusual interests (username aside ). I'm into modern irregular and CI-type warfare for a start (everything from Chinese civil war through Angola and Rhodesia to Afghanistan right now heh), I'd love to find out more about the pike-and-shot era, and I also have a thing for late 19thC ironclads, my sole source for which is Paul Hague's excellent book about naval wargaming. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Smile Hi !

Hi guys,
Just heard about the forum this morning (European morning ) . I've read all day long and decided to join, a record for me since I usually don't join a community so soon, that if I do it at all, but only after a month or more of reading.
So, what can I say more, love your forum and I hope I'll have some fun while learning new things.

Greetings all, I'm a fella interested in history (I know, surprise surprise). I love history with a passion, though my specialty is mostly political history not military history. However, I hope to rectify this as soon as possible. Part of the reason I'm here is to try and get some extra advice on subjects that I'm researching. Hopefully I can give some insight into some things as well! See you all in the trenches!

Hi all. Just found this site tonight. Into military history since a little boy. I also wargame with minis. Seemed the logical thing to do when you are looking for information. Cheers.
