Swartz58 is on the path to success [1-99]
Post Glad to be here

I have just joined. I am Phillip Todd Swartzlander from Spring Valley, California. I am a Navy Vet of 23 years having retired from active duty on 31 August 2011. I am married and have 4 children. 2 boys and 2 girls. I am a serious Pearl Harbor buff. I have a huge collection of things from Pearl Harbor, including the USS Arizona BB-39. I collect model ships. Preferably 700 scale models. I love sports and love to talk. People are awesome. I believe in God, Country, and our military. Looking forward to picking up more historical information and what not on here.

andrew Martinez is a balanced individual [0]
3 Bn 82 FA

I just read a response regarding the above unit assigned to the 196th LIB. I was with the 3 Bn 82 Field Artillery, First Regional assistance Command (FRAC) Radar Team 1, stationed out of Da Nang from April of 1972 to June of 72, when the 196th left Vietnam. I really never knew anyone from my unit as I was shipped to Hill 327 immediately upon arrival at the base. Is there anyone out there that can help me bring closure. I know nothing about 3 Bn 82 FA other than I am the man who called in a fire mission in early to mid June during heavy monsoon rains. I almost killed my guys. I heard you, I couldn't see you, and I'm sorry. I was the best radar man on the hill. Although I didn't hear that anyone got hurt, I was told I missed you by 75 meters. I was on that Hill to protect Da-Nang and our troops. I understand that, I think the editor of this magazine may have been one of my commanding officers. My warrant Officer was Ken Ormsbee. Best Officer I have ever served under.

God Bless All of you

Hello, Have just signed on/enlisted. I live in UK and am member of Great War Forum, your format seems similar. I have formed an interest in the operation of the US Army in southern France in August 44 because of visits to friends there.

Hello all

My name is Alejandro. I am interested in history and military technology. I have followed this forum for a while and I know some of the members, who also post in other forums like Axis History Forum. I am mainly interested in World War 2 and military technology in general, especially aviation and tanks.
