My mistake : it should be : a small part of the number of violent crimes .

2015 :

1,117, 704 violent crimes of which 15.691 murders,of which 71.5 % were committed by fire arms = 11, 219 .

11,219 is something as 1 % of the violent crimes ;as there were in 2013 some 357 million fire arms in the US, the proportion of homicides by fire arms to the total number of fire arms is very low .: 1 on 34000 fire arms .

Violent crimes include smacking someone. You're using that number to dilute the statistic.

Stick to murder.

Our prayers for the victims of this horrific killings and their loved ones.
The sad truth is we are all vulnerable at all times, at football games in Canada, at night clubs in Florida, a train station or soccer field in Europe, a marathon in Boston.

Well...when I retire there won't be much left to glean. Maybe a small buildup of arsenic from our town well water...everything else will be mostly used up...

How can someone get an arsenal of 10 rifles w/ammo to a 32nd floor room without someone noticing?

Well its used the world over to stop people doing things like flying passenger aircraft. Would you quibble about allowing someone with a mental illness to operate a missile silo, handle nuclear warheads etc?

I'm only taking a guess, but as there are regions in Nevada known for their game, perhaps at least some visitors to Las Vegas hotels arrive with rifles and/or shotguns in "drag bags." Perhaps.

If he had the capacity to convert them to automatic, he would have the ability to remove barrels and disassemble rifles. Hell I can do that with mine.

He checked in Thursday evening... does not take that much to break down a weapon in your car, place a couple in your bag and walk them upstairs to the room. Simply repeat it a couple times over the next couple days.

More from his brother:

http://thehill.com/homenews/news/353...gun-guy-at-all

Quote:
The brother of the suspected gunman in the Las Vegas shooting on Monday said his brother was "not an avid gun guy at all."

"Where the hell did he get automatic weapons. He has no military background or anything like that," Eric Paddock said on CBS News.

"He's a guy who lived in a house in Mesquite and drove down and gambled in Las Vegas."
Something changed at some time for some reason or this guy did not know his brother very well.

Don't even have to go that far: slide a rifle into a golf bag. No one checks the contents of a golf bag.

There was a report in a British paper that ISIS had apparently warned of an attack and had shown images of Las Vegas. That's about it.
