Labour said the west was to blame for the Manchester attack. Talk about blaming the victims...

It seems like the suspect was living with an elderly foster couple in Sunbury. The couple are known to have come out of retirement to help with Syrian refugees and it is known that he is foreign.

Looking pretty likely that this is an attack by a refugee..no good deed goes unpunished.

This is why I want to see the Liberal take refugees into their own homes and put their high moral values into action, rather than outsourcing their values to poor working class areas. That would be true social justice.

The foster couple whose home is understood to be at the centre of the search in Sunbury-on-Thames have been described by one local resident as "beautiful people"

Penelope and Ron Jones, 71 and 88 respectively, are reported to have fostered more than 250 children over almost 40 years, including refugees.

"Penny's a wonderful foster mother. She takes everyone, she doesn't turn anyone away" family friend Serena Barber told the Press Association.

They were both awarded the MBE by the Queen.

Rather it now looks like our refugee policy has admitted a murderous racist, brimming with hate for Britain, to add to the jihadi core already here.

The Manchester terrorist was a similar refugee who we admitted. We can no longer admit refugees from most middle eastern countries as they are just too dangerous. Rather if we are going to do anything humanitarian we should give them aid in the refugee camps in the region but NEVER allow them access to the UK.

We should use our experience to discriminate who we let in. When I was young the refugees were the Vietnamese boat people. We let many in and France and the US let in more and they were generally fine and a benefit to us. We can and should pick and choose. It is not all or none.

May will likely be gone in a year or two, once the path to Brexit is fairly established.

These attacks have not really had a big political impact. The reason is that all the political parties in the UK share a similar outlook on what the response should be, in contrast to France, Germany and Holland where distinct political options are available.

It seems bizarre that Surrey council would expect a 88 year old to be able to control and supervise an eighteen year old refugee.

I think Local Authoritis are just overwhelmed by the numbers, given the care system was already struggling to cope with the domestic need. They are too desperate to turn down willing volunteers.

The obvious solution is those who championed bringing large numbers here should open their doors and welcome refugees into their own home. Politicians like Cooper and Sturgeon said they would do it and have not delivered. The media has given them too easy a ride.

I would imagine that, after this incident, and the turmoil that it is going to cause in the foster family's life, the number of volunteers to take in foster children from the Middle East will decrease dramatically.
