ya a total engine overhaul would be necessary, but how long would that taken if the vessels were given full priority at shipyards with work crews maintaining 24hr rotating shifts?

I'm sure the McCain and Fitzgerald have priority in the shipyards for repairs...

If I'm not mistaken isn't the U.S. apart of NATO and if a NK missile is fired at the U.S. isn't that considered an attack on every member of NATO?

at that point NATO would required by treaty to join us, but the treaty does not require they join us in offensive operations. hell the treaty might even have a clause that they don't have to join us if we instigate a fight (like blockading a nation.)
