I was playing another online tank game before WoT came along(I think)... joined a clan and had heaps of fun, some players can be phenomenally freaky with their skills. The novelty wore off and I couldn't do it all over again in WoT. With work and family, playing online without having to leave a battle early was becoming rare.
I have mixed feelings with multiplayer, sometimes you can have great battles but more often you're cannon fodder or surrounded by noobs.

it's ok...like TA says, repetitive
it's not truly a sim or 'real world' game
...many tanks different types, no infantry, etc
and pay for premium/etc means others have better tanks
scenery is pretty good, but not the best
I like it--but would like something better
the free mod Forgotten Hope for Battlefield 2 was best WW2 game ever--with great tank battle physics/etc
