World of Warships

Does anyone else play this game? I do and love it! It's much better than WoT IMO.

Yup
Been playing it for awhile. not happy with some of the changes that they've made, but it's still a good game.

Yeap me too .(sirdano) I like WOT but I am more of a fan of naval warfare. Tier 7 in japan cruiser line. Tier 6 in all others.

Wish I could buy a Tripiz but no extra money this month

I have played it several times. My only complaint is that I found the games tended to be a little too repetitive compared to WOT

I'm only at tier 5 in the american cruisers. I don't have enough time to paly as much as I want to. I've just started branching into destroyers and carriers. They add a bit of a twist to the gameplay

Weird I know there is not that many maps but I have not found it repetitive yet.

I find myself sometimes just looking at all the details on the ships.

Nice job wargamming

I just started playing a couple of days ago. I'm enjoying it, but I have to keep reminding myself that it's not historically accurate and just have fun. It's a game, and nothing more, after all.

I know what you mean. When my cruiser out ranges my battleship..... Oh well, it's still fun.

I'm only at tier IV at the moment, but I'm looking at the comparison between the Japanese cruiser and battleships vs. the United States ones (especially the higher tiers). In reality, there isn't much of a contest, but for game balance, reality is definitely being ignored on a regular basis....

But, yeah, it's just an arcade game, not a simulation. And I'm having fun so far.

I regularly get crushed by cruisers if I am in my BB

The rate of fire on the CA is a killer. I think the DPS of the CA is higher than that of the BBS

Generally speaking it is. The rate of fire is the issue as you've noted. An unsupported BB can be chewed apart by a cruiser that is in the similar tier range.

That being said if the BB gets a good RNG on it's salvo it can one-shot a CL with a full broadside. The difference is the 10 second reload vs 30.

Well it's a Fuso, so that's your first problem right there

Seriously though you can one-shot(full broadside salvo) tier III's and IV's.

The Kongo can be brutal as well, and that longer range capability is an advantage.

Ive been playing WOWS since I got into CBT back in April. I think it's a waaaaaaay better game than WOT. In fact, I havent even clicked on my WOT icon since August.

Currently I am on the Pensacola (T7 US cruiser), the Furutaka (T5 Japanese cruiser), and the Kolberg (T3 German cruiser - and arguably the worst ship ive played yet). As for premiums I have the Warspite, Albany, Arkansas Beta, Marblehead, Gremyasahy, Murmansk, Yubari, and the Izschuzi.

If can keep the range open it usually not that bad. Although I have noticed some of the CA s seem to have almost the same range as my fuso. especially when I was just starting. I think I had to suicide charge just to get into range so I could shoot things.
