Heh. I like both speedball and woodball. I call it a marker because I refuse to call something that lacks iron sights a gun. I find true camo to be fairly useless in gameplay. Most of the stuff these guys wear is only effective past 100 feet and that is well outside the range of most paintballers.

That said, I refuse to play speedball against people who play it the "right" way. Setting up interlocking fields of fire and hoping that one of the thousand paintballs you fire from your auto nails someone on their left pinky is just pathetic. Heads n torsos, semi-autos only, and max of two carried pods.

Gods, I need to go play again.

I spent the better part of the 80's in FL,It's not like you have the terrain I have in MN,so I cant fault you playing "pasture commando" as I call it.

it would be hard to do but worth it. Thats one of the best parts of the magazine, I thought, because it brought some of the strategies to a practical use, not just historical. Although many of the readers, typically age 35+ don't play paintball as much as >35 y.o's. So, that means that we have to either find a way to make the paintball section more of a well rounded article with connections to history and so forth.

I would love to see paintball in the magazines, maybe they could show how different military stradegies can be put in use in paintball.

Also for Panzercmdr a tippmann 98 custom is a great gun. It is extreamly reliable and one of the most acurate guns out there. I have one myself. You can get one for about $150 plus you can put all sorts of extras on it if you want. All in all I can say nothing bad about the Tippmann 98 Custom

I say eww to camo too, but that's because I wear an early war Wehrmacht uniform and carry a Tippmann 68 modified to fit within a Mauser Kar98 stock. Hell, even my mask is modified to accept a screw on gas mask filter. Maybe I take my WWII paintball too seriously? By the way Gromph, were you at Invasion of Normandy at Skirmish this year?

When my cousin was based at RAF, USAF, Lakenheath. The security police were looking for opponents to play having beaten quite a few teams, after flashing my MOD90 at the main gate and then signed in by my cousin, we got talking about about the possibility of playing against some british servicemen, I was a corporal of a section of soldiers who were approaching the end of their training, when I mentioned it the SP's said they would beat them, I don't think they realised these guys were two weeks away from finishing 30 weeks basic infantry training, it was arranged and played in thetford forest, the fire and manoeuvre my lads had just been taught was outstanding as was the field craft, even the smuggled in smoke grenades and thunder flash mk8 ADR things better and more realistic.
A great day was had by all and friend ships were made, it was also the first time I saw USA servicemen attending a british passing out parade, some of the lads invited them and it was a nice gesture turning up in smartest blues.

So I just picked up a couple of Spyder Victors for the kids with Hush bolt kits, and a couple of Nitro 13ci tanks. I think I have to run them with low pressures because it's a 5th grade class coed battle. Probably 200-250psi. Any comments?
