Ladies and gentlemen:

A. Thank you all for clearing up the semantic issue. Please move on.

B. According to The Art of War, "all warfare is based upon deception". It follows logically that real peace must be based on trust, a commodity entirely lacking in the region. At some point in the next few days there will be a cease fire followed by a truce. Many people will mistake the lack of active combat as peace. We meet here in part to understand why this is not so.

Ceasefire arrangements tend to move from the "war arena" to the "politics arena"(nation to nation relationships) and like any "treaty" arrangement depend upon a level of integrity, honesty, and mutual trust.

WW was just illustrating the case that in dealing with Islam there is no honesty or integrity since war and politics are one in the same.

Your post is underscoring that one should make no "deals" or treaties with anyone Islamic since deception/deceit is to be expected and not objected to.

Operation Desert Storm "ended" with a "cease-fire"/armistice frequently violated by Iraq. From your post would seem Iraq was totally "ethical" to violate it's Word of Trust, and USA totally authorized to engage OIF based on that.

Sergio - In/with Islam there is a continuous war. 'Peace' with the kufr/non-Muslim should be sham, and only indulged in to gain a tactical advantage. There are shed loads of stuff to that effect in the Qur'an, Sira, Hadith and Tabari.
