Arrow Firefight - real time WW2 game for iPads

Thought some of you guys here might be interested in my new iPad WW2 simulation game "Firefight" that's just gone live in the AppStore. It's a bit like Close Combat but I've really tried to up the realism by giving the tanks a physics engine so they steer themselves like real tracked vehicles, and bullets and shells are all modelled in 3D so they ricochet realistically off buildings and vehicles, etc...

These forums won't let me post a direct link yet but if you search on the AppStore for "Firefight" you should be able to find it (the full name of the game is actually "Firefight - WW2" though)

If you take a look please let me know what you think!

Haven"t downoaded this app yet, but it looks good.
First plus: It is free, which is a good thing for a game yet unknown. As you rightly remarked the screenshots are reminiscent of CC.
Please correct me if I"m wrong but from what I understood from the App store you can chose to play a scenario as Germans in 1940 or Americans or Brits in 1944. App Store didn"t allow me to check for campaigns.
Thanks for sharing this with us here at ACG and I"ll be back once I downloaded and played it.

Thanks for sharing this with us here at ACG and I"ll be back once I downloaded and played it.
The free download lets you play a (fully playable) tutorial scenario that has a few tanks and infantry against a small enemy force.

You can buy the in-app purchase and that will give you 8 different scenarios on that map. Each one has you playing as a different nationality and with a set starting selection of units.

I'm working on an update to the AI now and new maps too.

2 new maps have just (finally!) been approved for the AppStore (BlÚneau railway station and Remilly town). They're both in-app purchases but you can give them a test for free using the built-in tutorial using:

Quite enjoyable game actually
but new maps would be a very good idea.
After a couple of games on the same map one runs out of options and the game is in danger of losing its attractiveness.

Version 2.0 is out now on the AppStore and it can run on iPhones and iPod Touches as well as iPads now. I've also added some new features like showing hill contours when you zoom out, and there are now 6 maps available with number 7 in the pipeline!

Yes! I've written a utility to port all of the game's Objective C code to C++ so now all I need to do is figure out how to write a simple Android OpenGL app and then paste that C++ code in.

I've just released version 3.0 which now has local network play. One player can be the attacker while the other defends. If this is popular I'll look into having teams of network players attack and defend. If you give it a go please let me know what you think!
