Yeah, Ike was a nusance. From what I've gathered, the real Ike Clanton, was even more cowardly than he was shown in Tombstone! The only time he got in fights, and actually fought, were instances when he was virtually assured to win, like if he was fighting cripple. On a side note I loved the part in Tombstone were Ike gets a Mexican Tattoo.

I gotta say Michael Biehn in Tombstone and Jack Palance in Young guns was good as well.

Dudes,

You all have to see Henry Fonda in "Once Upon A Time In The West". He put most villains in the dust. Especially in view of all his "good guy" roles he normally took.

I prefer Taggart and Heady Lamarr* in Blazing Saddles to the Governor. Lots of evil, with a generous serving of stupid.

But my favorite evil character is El Guapo in The Three Amigos. His sidekick, Jefe, is about as good.**

* That's Hedley!
** "El Guapo: Jefe, would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?
Jefe: Oh yes, El Guapo. You have a plethora.
El Guapo: Jefe, what is a plethora?
Jefe: Why, El Guapo?
El Guapo: Well, you just told me that I had a plethora, and I would just like to know if you know what it means to have a plethora. I would not like to think that someone would tell someone else he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has *no idea* what it means to have a plethora.
Jefe: El Guapo, I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education, but could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?"

Erm, Tanker... a gatlin gun would require the other arm to crank it.

Well you guys pretty much touched on all that I would pick, so I'll add one that wasn't near the baddest but was nevertheless cool in his own bad way: Goldhat, in the Treasure of the Sierra Madre ("Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!") Sorry Goldhat I forgot your real name

Thumbs up

A real good baddy, who's already had a slight mention, was Sam Peckinpah's fallguy Emilio Fernandez as General Mapache. Albert Dekker played Deke Thornton's nemisis, Harrigan, as a real sonovabitch too!
