Viet Cong Ambush US Troops

Video is not the greatest quality but it is a video that needs to be seen to truly understand the Vietnam War.

Thanks for that. I think I've seen that before Delta. Linked off from your video I saw this, which is a news piece from the time. Please forgive the title of it as I think its disingenuous, in my opinion anyway for what that's worth. I really noticed the thickness of the jungle in this . Crazy...

That is a great Video! Really makes you appreciate what the troops had to deal with, walking through that would be a nightmare let alone fighting in it and being shot at.

Hats of to those guys and any vets

War is all about killing the enemy. Ones who have never been there will probably struggle with the cold, hard facts. Its kill or be killed, simple as that. The comments made by the vet in the linked video are very true. You need to shut off your emotions in war. What the soldier is saying is just the truth, its life in a combat zone.

Checkout this video of Peter Jennings and Mike Wallace. They are asked hypothetical questions of if they knew of an ambush that was awaiting unsuspecting American soldiers if they would warn the soldiers. Peter Jennings originally says yes, but changes his answer after Mike Wallace says he wouldn't warn the soldiers.

I too, would feel contempt towards any American journalist who would allow enemy soldiers to kill or wound an American soldier just for the sake of a story. Mike Wallace is a contemptible prick!

I see our buddy Sleepy posted an Ong Thanh video back in 2010.

He seemed so polite back then.

I wonder what he's is doing now....
