I'd like to see more choices on the Colonial Era Poll ie. The French and Indian Wars of the 17th and 18th Centuries and the Revolutionary War.

Battle of San Jacinto

ARRRR! I see there be pirates...(more on that later)

Here's a question to that Texican who gave us the story of Goliad back a few posts ago. Can you tell me the origin of the song "The Yellow Rose of Texas" and why it figures in the battle of San Jacinto ultimately won by Sam Houston?

There should be one with British in North America. But the Opium Wars are good enough.

The British in India especially the latter days of the HEIC armies during the Sepoy Rebellion of the 1857-58 era. I am particularly interested in the HEIC European Artillery and how they were absorbed into the British Army.

One option I'd like to see more of is French in Indo-China circa 1880s. London War Room, before they shut down, was the only place I know of where you could find Tonkinois troops.

I'm not a big fan of the colonial era (reading its history makes my blood boil). But I vote for the Opium Wars.

With any luck it might engender some meaningful discussion and understanding on the past, present and future of Asia.

Here we are back again...the HEIC in the various presidencies during and immediately after the Great Mutiny of 1857. I'm particularly interested in the HEIC European Artillery as Gr-Grandad was a SarMajor in it at that time.

i heard that sun tzu the author of the art of war said that a double envelopment tactic like that would be impossible to pull of in actual combat due to the amount of communication required if this is true IF IF IF that would make Hannibal that much more amazing
