Against the Tide

Shisinki & staff buck the trend and add a bit more to Federal government services. The establishment of 13 new VA out patient clinics is announced. No indication in the item linked what the costs might be. Most of the new locations are in areas with high concentrations of retires or higher proportion of older population.

Sadly, I remember when the government built a brand new VA hospital in Jersey (?), and never opened it.

Very little will ever make me agree to more taxes, but taking care of our veterans is one of them.

They have restructured my VA hospital. New doctors and reeled in an outside clinic. Added more mental health, and a new Oncology Center(Cancer treatment) it's associated with the 3rd best cancer treatment program in the nation-Oklahoma University Medical Center.

As for people paying taxes, it would be nice if that upper percent would pay. It would reduce the deficit a lot. Cutting government jobs and entitlements(VA Comp is an entitlement) doesn't put money in the Fed. Talk of Socialized government-do away with Medicare, Social Security, put it in the hands of business. Your kid will loose everything he puts in when the market crashes...again.
