It might be Hollywood style, but man is Total War a fun series.
Rome Total War came out at the height of my interest in Roman history back in 2004, even the obvious historical flaws took nothing away from the immersion and fun factor of the game.
I mean, sure the Roman factions had Ninjas for some reason, but you can just laugh at it, its a video game not a documentary after all

. You can always get mods such as "Rome Total Realism" as well as other more in depth adaptions as well if you want to, personally I enjoyed Vanilla and the modded versions just as well.
