Apples and Oranges, one is a GMPG and another is an HMG.

Yeah that...
You can't compare them, they are 2 different kinds of weapons.

Lug that thing (and all the attendant "bits") while you're displacing under fire; see how much you love it then...
Not speaking from experience..."Just sayin'"
"Apples and oranges" indeed...
It's all so easy on "Call of Duty, Pt 53 1/3"...ain't it though?
Perspective is a good thing...

Ma Deuce isn't a easily portable weapon. But put a pair in a power bucket on the bow of a little fiberglass boat and you can rock and roll.

The M2. The Germans had to worry about carrying the MG42 around on foot. So good for them to be able to carry the machine gun around.
The Americans, on the other hand, had the jeep aplenty. No need to worry about humping the M2 around.

We may as well compare the M1911 Browning and 88mm Flak Cannon in the Anti Air roles, the MG-42 was an excellent Light and Medium Machine Gun, the M2 easily the best Heavy Machine Gun.

Hey, FNG!!!!!! How about asking questions instead of leaving the group to figure out what your asking or what your intent is?
I have to agree with the others. Silly question.
welcome to ACG, none the less.

Anybody see the episode of "Sons of Guns" where they built a quad mount for the '42?
