This debate has always seemed ingenious to me. As long ago as the mid 70's we had women medics in the 2nd ACR in Germany where our mission was to operate forward of the FEBA to screen, and ideally direct artillery on the enemy. My platoon had one assigned and our mission was to block the Berlin to Munich autobahn. Can't get more front line than that.

More immediate, I have two daughters who served in Bosnia and then Iraq. They both have mental and physical disabilities as a result of wounds received in Iraq.

Pretending women are not in the front lines is silly and juvenile. Time to recognize realty.

None of the females I deployed with had problems with the IOTV. If we're going to give them female specific body armor, I hope it's like the D&D stuff. Or the Princess Leia gold bikini.
