Warhammer Online is currently suffering its worst decline in the history of the game. It is still the best PvP game out there, but the RvR system has been fracked, and although Mythic says it is taking steps to correct the mess they made of it, I don't know how many of the core players will stick around long enough to find out.

I hope the 40K version does not suffer the same fate of being a game with so much potential only to have it squandered.

40k is significantly more popular than Fantasy battle in the united states (though FB is somewhat more popular in the U.K the U.S is a much larger market) so I think that it will be able to keep a large playerbase unlike WAR. Seriously, there are at least four different 40k forums with a larger userbase than this very forum; the WH40k fanbase is of monolithic proportions even if you only count those who actually play the game and/or it's spinoffs and ignore those who merely read and discuss the fluff.
