What is that spare fuel drum doing on the front, this is very confusing picture, I've never seen this tank (or better, never heard about it), but it looks like T-34, the turret and the rear engine cover and exhaust

The basic platform on the left, I could name immediately but I'd have to research the name for that particular variation. On the right looks obvious. Let somebody else have a pop.

Yeas there is (or rather was), just look harder - it was a part of a program developed for Airborne use in 1990's - Armoured Gun System - the front runner prototype was M8 AGS Ridgway, almost ready for a mass production when the Army cancelled the program in 1996 - the prototype was demostrated for Turkey and Japan, but these potential customers didn't show any interest in ordering the product - it was highly air- transportable and air- droppable(only 17.76 tons). I think the Stingray II, light tank was the succesor to these efforts, but I'm not sure (my source - The Encyclopedia of Tanks and Armoured Fighting Vehicles, published in UK in 2002 by Amber Books Ltd.), page 52-53 with colour picture of the vehicle and all.(I don't know how to upload the pictures, I'm computer semi literate, sadly to say, but I'm working on it, but I have tons of books and know how to read)

M31 ARV is correct. That's that one done with. And just a formality really, the one on the right is a...?

I would have to guess some version of M3 light tank.
Tracks look like it, but the back end confuses me.

That's a heavily modified M5 Stuart.

It's confusing because it isn't an M3. Think bigger.
