I have tried to PM Torien and Janos and for some reason the system won't recognize the addresses.

I am also busy in the next 2 days. I'll be online for a few hours more today, but tomorrow I will not have computer access...........

It looks like we're already being true to history............our command structure is unclear and we're having communication problems.

FortyFour is on the path to success [1-99]
Hey, I'm new.

I don't know if I could help anybody play this, since I have relatively no idea what it is. However, it seems cool. Don't know why anybody would want to be Braddock, though.

I have to do too many things this week, is it alright if I bystand?

By all means, OldHickory - though we'll hope to get you more involved with things in the following week

In this case we're just needing a Braddock because he's the historical commander - it doesn't necessarily doom the person playing him to follow the same path - and then he can divide the remainder of his command appropriately among the other players

I have not received a PM since early July. And I usually get a few per week, even when not playing a game.

I wondered if it was just me. But it seems it may be something more?

I would like to nominate Lance as our CO. He has much more knowledge of this time period and the forces at work in the scenario.

I will gladly take on a supporting role and help with the game playing as I am an experienced member of the Stratego/AllSirGarnet school of gaming and I think Khryses is adapting that to this.

But I do not feel I have the proper time and experience/knowledge to lead this campaign.

Sorry if this lets anybody down or prolongs the delay for the start of the game.

That works fine for me - Lance Williams, do you accept?

Once I know who the Commander is and you're working on sorting out your ToO I'll send the Commander the detailed OB as well as the initial premise and y'all can get to planning.

Once you have your initial plan for the campaign set up, we can kick things into motion

I've been in the forums but I haven't been paying enough attention to how fast this game has been moving. I know all of you think it is moving slow but somehow I thought it would take a while and then forgot to check.

I would take the role of Braddock if Lance would pass. He has been pretty much installed at this time so I would give him almost free choice of commands if he agrees to me taking over. I think I have a good idea of division of forces for 6-9 Anglo players. A lot depends on the actual strengths of units. Actual planing depends on start points and time scale.

I have some ideas from several possibile starting points/plans but I'll accept input. To put it in time character.."I have chased the fox before. It doesn't matter what the noble says. If the hounds bay on the trail you should listen."

I have never played a game here and am reluctant to take command for that reason and due to a high demand for me at the office right now. I'll work for anyone willing to take command.

I do have some ideas on organizing the militia though, and will be glad to coordinate militia activities while commanding some Virginia militia myself.

If there's still openings for commanders, I would like to command a unit. I had volunteered in the SPQR game, but then I was leaving for Morocco. I'm home for at least the next 4-5 months, so I can dedicate some actual time to this game.

I'd prefer to be Colonial or British Regulars, however, I noticed that there are few parties in the French and Indian units, so I will command one of those to the best of my ability if necessary.

I have just PMed a proposed Task Org for the British forces to Torien, Lance, and Widow Maker. Will be sent to the others* upon approval by the commander.

Can I have a peek at it?

Really all we need before we can start making the next step is someone saying 'sure, I'll take command' (like Widow Maker) and being nominated by at least one other person (as Lance has been) - once that's the same person we can whirl into planning and campaigning

...so hopefully today

I second the nomination of Widow Maker as our leader. (And Janos has run with the idea in his Order of Battle.)

Awesome, we have a Braddock.

Just checking you received my pm, Widow Maker?

Home again home again, so will try to dredge up that map...
