Republicans only. same question as to the Democrats. Name one really good thing the Republicans have done in the last 3 years?

The Democrats have controlled the White House and Senate for the last 3 years and the House for 2 of the last 3 years; so the GOP hasn't been in a position to do anything for the last 3 years. Having lost control of both houses of Congress in 2006, the GOP hasn't been able to do much of anything since Dec. 2006.

1. With the help of about 6 Senate Democrats, the GOP blocked the Enviromarxist Cap & Tax bill.

2. They prevented Obama from raising taxes and blocked a huge spending bill in Dec. 2010.

You're on a negative rant about everything today, aren't you?

One good thing the Republicans have done:

Opposed Obamacare.

Tried to force the Democrats to make a budget.

Investigated several of the Democratic scandals and corruption, such as Fast and Furious.

Attempted to reign in Obama's massive spending.

Given us an alternative to Dmocratic Socialist rule.

That's a start.

You want to start with the whole ending slavery thing, or are we supposed to limit ourselves to 2008 and up.

We make the money that pays for all the social services

But seriously:
  1. Ended the Cold War
  2. Reformed Welfare against Bill Clinton's wishes
  3. Tried to balance budgets under Reagan, but the Democrats wouldn't cut spending
  4. Ended slavery
  5. Won the civil war
  6. Under Harding and Coolidge we almost got rid of our debt
  7. During the Deppression of 1919-20 Harding cut spending almost in half and instituted more laissez-faire, making what would have become an early Great Depression last only a year and led to a booming economy
  8. Theres a lot more I can't list

In the last three years we have fought to repeal Obamacare, tried to cut spending, and we did win some cuts in spending. We did a lot more, it's just we can't do everything because we don't have the senate or the white house. If I'm not mistaken, we do have the Supreme Court, though.

This seems to be what Republicans are supposed to believe. But I remember seeing that registered Democrats actually produce more income and pay more taxes.

I might add that I'm not a registered Republican. Texas doesn't register party affiliation. I vote Republican mostly out of my opposition to Marxism and my firm support of free market economics and the form of republicanism espoused by James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. I'm more of an anti-Democrat voter than I am a Republican voter. The Democrats are extremely hostile toward free market economics and Jeffersonian-Madisonian republicanism. The Republicans pose less of a threat to free market economics and republicanism; so they get my vote and campaign contributions.

So much for "Republicans only" ....
Or the whole Positive reinforcement thing.

How about reforming State governments and returning them to solvency, like in Wisconsin and a bunch of others?

Not all politics is in DC.

Reagan was a Republican...Thatcher was a Conservative...so there's at least two.

How about people who voted for Democrats ?
Considering, that majority of low income families
support Democrats, the situation with them could
be opposite.

Too busy to search for you or produce a detailed case for you now, but it is been my belief for some time- pieces here and there, seen in the press and in books. You are free to produce links.

Politics aside, Democrats seem to be richer than Republicans. The two largest sectors of the economy and two large ones- in total perhaps well over 1/2 of the US economy are very much blue: Wall Street, university system, Media & Entertainment, and Silicon Valley. Government agencies are also Dem-dominated.

The majority of the Ultra rich, rich, and C-level F-500 executives are Dem. Given income distribution right now..the dem having more purchasing power seems rather believable.

If you mean very rich, you are correct.

But there is a difference between registered voters
and people who votes for the Party.
As I stated before, Democratic party is supported by
majority of low income voters, minority voters ( also mostly )
low income.
For example, AFAIK 95% of black voters voted for Obama in 2008.
And they aren't the richest people.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_group...mocratic_party

What groups generally support the democratic party?

As a generalization, Unions, people with lower incomes, minorities, environmentalists, the college-educated, and the Net-roots (Online Progressives) are generally considered the "base" of the Democratic Party. Of course, many of these categories overlap with others, so some of these people support other political parties.
