All kidding aside, if that's how it ended for them, it is probably much more humane than running out of air. The thought of floating around waiting for death has always given me the piss shivers.

Given my choice between an experimental submarine unit, and charging with fixed bayonets, I much prefer the latter.

it holds alot of water..

can you imagine the concussion at 20 feet in the water.
almost like the were hit with a depth charge.
