You are one shrewd negotiator!
Guess it went like this:
Clerk at Visitors' Center: "That'll be $12.95, please, for The Treasury Virture
Savez: "I'll give you $20.00 for it!"
C: "No, sir, just $12.95, with sales tax."
S: "You drive a hard bargin - $35.00 then"
C: "Our prices are plainly marked, sir"
S: "I never pay the marked price. I like to haggle - $45.00, my last offer."
C: "We don't bargin, sir."
S: "OK, clever ploy - $50.95 - I won't go any lower."
(The line at the register is starting to get rather long.)
C (frustrated): "Oh, all right, then $50.95"
S (triumphant): "No one takes advantage of the wiley Savez! $50.95 it is."
